Char Lok Lark (Beef Salad)

Ingredients:

1/2 kilo of beef

1/2 kilo of Chinese beans

3 potatoes

crushed black peppers

salt

sugar

1 clove garlic

water

corn flour

Procedures:

wash beef, cut into small cubes (width about half your thumb) then marinate beef with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon sugar and 1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic, 2 teaspoon corn flour. Set beef aside.

Devein Chinese beans, cut off edges. Skin and wash potatoes and cut into cubes like beef.

Boil water in a pot, when water is boiled place Chinese beans and seamer for 1 minute then add potato cubes and seamer again for 2 minutes. Don't cook the potatoes.  Drain vegetable well.

Heat pan, add oil, crushed garlic until brown then add beans, stir on high heat for 4 minutes, transfer beans on to an oval or round serving plate. Arrange flat.

Add some more oil to the same pan, place potatoes and lightly stir for a few minutes or until potatoes are soft then transfer potatoes onto oval/round plate. Arrange potatoes on top of beans.

In the same pan,add more oil, crushed garlic and beef cubes. Stir, lower heat and let cook for 8 minutes.
